Parivar Seva has the distinction of being a pioneering organization engaged in the provision of reproductive health interventions across India. Though a variety of RH projects have been taken up by the Sanstha, Socially Marketed RH Clinics/ Franchised centers, Social Marketing of RH products, and Education and Training projects on Sexual Reproductive Health are its three main thrust areas. In addition, the Management Institute of Population and Development (MIPD) has been set up in Jaipur as an unit of the Sanstha with the Mission to enhance management capacity to meet continuous challenges in population and development The initial emphasis of MIPD is on programmatic research and training. Parivar Seva has the unique distinction of having several thrust areas with different approaches, which work not in isolation but in tandem to maximize programme results within minimum costs. Parivar Seva formed and led ARC, a coalition of 32 large national and international agencies in India so as to expand contraceptive choices and increase access to family planning services in the country.
