Parivar Seva’s Social Marketing of Products division works at “ promoting and making widely accessible on sustainable basis, socially relevant quality products at affordable prices using commercial and other channels with focus on prevention of unwanted births and sexually transmitted diseases including HIV/AIDS” The Contraceptive Social Marketing Programme in the country, using branded contraceptives and subsidized products from the Government was pioneered by Parivar Seva in 1986-87, when it was able to convince the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare that market segmentation would help to expand contraceptive markets. Today Parivar Seva’s owned products include - three brands of Condoms one brand of Oral Contraceptive Pills, Emergency Contraceptives and Iron Plus tablets. Each product is positioned, packaged and priced for a specific segment of the market.







Using an network of over 400 stockiest/ wholesalers and over 75,000 traditional and non-traditional retail shop outlets, rural medical practitioners, and NGO points, our products are being made widely accessible in the rural and urban slums in 14 states through a team of motivated and dedicated staff, backed by brand management, communication expertise, logistics support and commercial back up. We annually sell over 57 million branded condoms and 2.6 million OCPs under social marketing umbrella of GOI.
